Oops, that Wasn’t a Slipery Slope, It Was an Avalanche to Serfdom

Friday night on WIBC, we discussed the Indiana Supreme Court’s complete destruction of the Fourth Amendment last week.  There were two rulings that I posted about here. Fair warning, the writing isn’t the best, I was in the midst of a head and chest cold that was kicking my…well you get the idea.   In short, The Indiana Supreme Court declared that Hoosiers have no right to resist law enforcement entering their home “for any reason or no reason at all”

This happened Thursday.  On Monday, while being interviewed by staffers at Mike Church’s XM radio show (article),  Newton County Sheriff, Don Hartman Sr. emphatically indicated that now they are legal, he would use random house to house checks, adding he felt people will welcome random searches if it means capturing a criminal.  Pardon me you pin headed, hill-jack excuse for Barney Fife.  NO.  I and any other self-respecting American will not tolerate your thuggishness in the name of the law.  A badge, an excuse and 3 dunderheads on the IN Supreme Court does not give you the right to trample our NATURAL rights.  You remember those from school right?  Oh wait, our schools may not teach that anymore.

Well as a reminder, those rights were given to us by our Creator. Now you may believe that it may be God, Allah, Buddha or chance, but the source doesn’t matter.  What does is that those rights are not for any man, no matter his title or intentions to take away.  The process of getting a warrant or proving probable cause gives you enough leeway to do your job.  You don’t need and cannot have the right to trample the liberty you are sworn to protect.

In the article, another police chief  contradicted Crown Point’s Sheriff Fife, er I mean Hartman,  blatant disregard for privacy & liberty, stating that as an American first, such an action is unconscionable and that his allegiance is to the Indiana and federal Constitutions respectively. However, he also concurred that the ruling does now allow for police to randomly search homes should a department be under order by state or federal officials or under a department’s own accord. Truth. But at least he recognizes that the ability to do so, does not mean it’s right.

We can never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was “legal” and everything the Hungarian freedom fighters did in Hungary was “illegal.” – Martin Luther King, 1963 in  Letter from Birmingham Jail

  1. Again, as I have stated several times since this all started, MY FOURTH AMENDMEND RIGHT will be protected in my home by my SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHT!!!

  2. It is practically undeniable that the present regime, possibly including both parties, intend to reduce all Americans to some form of servitude.
