Radio Show Pilot Take 1

I’ve been working on a concept and demo for an evening show on WIBC in Indianapolis.  Here’s the idea, those that consume opinion media may have heard 3 hours of Garrison, 3 hours of Limbaugh, watched Beck, Hannity and O’Reilly on TV… At some point we need to come off high alert and wind down.  This show would take aim at the serious subjects without taking itself too seriously. Nikki Reed (check out her hilarious blog here) and I are putting the pilot together.  Listen to the pilot segments below.   On this first set of demos Jimmy “Maddog” Matis joined us (thanks Dog).  If you need some radio or online advertising in Central Indiana, Jim will hook you up.  Ideally we would like to have 2 – 3 “panelists” per show, but this is a low-budget pilot episode 😉

Segment 1: Middle Aged Angry White Man Rant, Internet’s impact on public life & Don’t Ask, Don’t tell (pardon the audio quality.  This one got a little phasing in it somewhere)

Segment 2: Silly season last week in the political debates around the country.

Segment 3: Political wives of all sexes are standing by their men, is being 23, male, getting liquored up and doing something stupid really newsworthy?  $9 stadium beer just may get really expensive for a Colts fan.

Segment 4:  Juan Williams Fired by NPR, DC School asks 11 year olds if they know how to put on a condom

Segment 5: Starbucks to sell beer and wine, Michael Lohan announces he will not be making anymore announcements.

Clearly there’s some work to be done here including getting a demo together with more players, and creating some more “tension” and a better definition of roles.   Just wanted you to give it a listen and make comments if you like below.
